WHEN IS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL?
The first day of school begins each year on the day after Labor Day.
AM I ABLE TO ENROLL MY CHILD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCHOOL YEAR?
Yes, students are able to enroll in VPA at any time during the school year although we recommend that students start at the beginning of each semester. Starting after the first day of each semester may cause the student to be enrolled in a reduced course load.
ARE THE TEACHERS AT VANGUARD PREPARATORY CERTIFIED?
Yes, all teachers employed by VPA hold a state teaching certification.
ARE ALL OF YOUR STUDENTS LOCATED IN FLORIDA?
No, by having the ability for students across the world to enroll in VPA, our hope is to introduce students to individuals from various races, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.
IF I PLAN TO RETURN TO MY PREVIOUS SCHOOL DISTRICT, HOW DO I KNOW THAT THE COURSES WILL BE ACCEPTED?
We hope that you have an excellent learning experience at VPA, but if you plan to return to another school district, we will provide them with an official transcript. The K-12 curriculum at VPA is fully accredited. If your school district has any questions regarding our curriculum, we will be happy to speak with them.
DO I NEED TO WITHDRAW FROM MY PREVIOUS SCHOOL?
Once enrolled in VPA, your previous school district will be sent withdrawal information to receive the transcripts from your child(ren)’s previous school.
HOW DO I REGISTER MY CHILD?
You can enroll one or more children by selecting the following link: ENROLL NOW. You can also register over the phone by calling 855-765-4872 ext. 803 if you prefer to speak with an enrollment coordinator.
DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?
A 5% discount is provided for paying tuition in full prior to the start of the school year/semester. For additional discount information, please contact an enrollment coordinator.
DO YOU OFFER A MONTHLY PAYMENT PLAN?
Yes, VPA does offer a monthly payment plan after an initial 10% deposit.
WHAT SERVICES AND SUPPORT ARE OFFERED TO STUDENTS ONCE ENROLLED IN VPA?
The following services are offered to all full time VPA students:
Academic Planning and Counseling Services
Access to a Wide Range of Electives
Participation in Clubs and Activities
HOW MANY CLASSES CAN A STUDENT REGISTER IN AT ONE TIME?
Full-time students are able to register for up to 7 courses per semester. Students can be enrolled in additional courses for an additional fee. Part-time students are able to enroll in up to 3 courses per semester (excluding summer).
HOW DO STUDENTS INTERACT WITH EACH OTHER?
Students will have the ability to interact with one another in their classrooms and during clubs/activities. Students will also have the ability to make contact with one another by accessing the student directory. Please note that parents will have the ability to decide to include/exclude their student(s) from the student directory each school year.
